Health Benefits of Water

A simple way to stay focused for a long time is by drinking water. Every part of your body needs water to function properly. A lack of water can lead to dehydration, making you extremely tired and unable to carry out daily tasks.

  • Gets rid of wastes through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements

  • Keeps your temperature normal

  • Lubricates and cushions joints

  • Protects sensitive tissues



How much water do you need to consume?

The U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine determined that an adequate daily fluid intake is:

  • About 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day for men

  • About 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids a day for women


How does dehydration affect students?

  • Poor attention span

  • Studies show that students who drink water score 5% higher than those don’t stay hydrated

Make sure to stay hydrated throughout the day! One gulp of water can make a big difference to your body and mind.
