The school day has finally concluded; however, there is still an overwhelming amount of work. It’s exhausting even thinking about the to-do list. Relatable, right? Everyone needs motivation sometimes, so I've come up with something called The Post-It Note Technique.
This technique has helped me through some of my busiest days while still keeping me mentally stable and happy. I've also noticed that my confidence and self-esteem has increased. If you would you like to try this technique, scroll down for the steps!

The Post-It Note Technique:
Get a blank piece of paper (can also be done with a Jamboard if you prefer using the computer)
Take some Post-It Notes, categorize them, and stick them to the paper (ex: clubs category, volunteering category, math category, etc.)
Under each category, write down the assignments you have, based on the due date (ex: math hw - worksheet due tomorrow, -Calculus test next week, etc.)
Draw boxes next to each assignment and check them off as you finish each part (4 pages of math hw - 4 boxes)
As you complete each category, fold up the Post-It and save it in a box. Look at how much you accomplished at the end of each week.
Purpose:
Overall, tasks look less intimidating since you can’t write that much on Post-Its. I like to use bullet points and star tasks that are most important. Also, it helps stay motivated and productive, especially steps 4 and 5. By checking off boxes and saving your progress, you’ll feel more motivated to work.
In addition, arranging your Post-It notes by category makes it look visually organized and well-planned out. An organized plan should help reduce stress and frustration. Most importantly, it helps with self-confidence. As you look at how much you’ve accomplished, your self-esteem will increase.
