It is finals season, your last quest before winning the grand prize. Yes, life might feel like one gigantic, complex mess right now, but you can put it back together. Even if covid has tossed and turned you inside out, you can still finish the year strong.
The number one reason people feel stressed and anxious during exam season is that it feels like a lot. Looking at your tasks overall is a lot more overwhelming than looking at them piece by piece. Say you have eight units to review before your test, don't look at it as eight units altogether but face it one unit at a time.

You might feel stressed even then, so what should you do? You should find a purpose, a reason why you should even go through with studying. Maybe it’s so you can get your dream job someday or make enough money to travel as much as your heart desires. Maybe it is to expand your knowledge, opening you up to a world of opportunities.
After you have that purpose, you’ll probably start studying. You might take a break and end up watching Netflix for 3 hours. To avoid a situation like this, take productive breaks like running, learning an exciting new skill, or getting a snack. You can even use it to do something you haven’t had much time to do in the year, such as catching up on your favorite books.

One of my favorite productive breaks has to be art. I usually draw something before starting to work. As I complete each task, I color a part of the drawing. It keeps me motivated while still engaging my brain. Especially when I’m coloring with markers, I focus on each line of marker I put on the paper, making sure there is no white space.
As a reminder, you have survived a dangerous pandemic, virtual education/work, and an entire change of lifestyle. If you can handle that, you can definitely handle Finals Week. Finish this year strong, and soon, you'll receive a well-deserved summer break.
PS: Look forward to our summer specials theme, it's coming soon!
