Hey there! Today we wanted to do something a little different. We are going to share a Day In Our Lives with you. Specifically, we are showing you a weekend in our life.
Dash:

Light beams hit my face, blinding my eyes from continuing to rest away in paradise. I limp across my room, carrying my sleepy body to peek outside the window. Colors bring life to my eyes. I’ve been blessed by the mesmerizing beauty of the orange and purple sky. I then circumvent across my messy floor to make my way to the sink. I stare into the bathroom mirror while brushing my pearly-white teeth while being lost in my thoughts. My brain is nearly half-awake, and I can’t recollect anything. Time ticks past more and more, and after four minutes I realize that it’s the weekend- the party starts.
First, I take a shower, clean myself up, and slowly enjoy my scrumptious breakfast: French bread with guacamole. Then, I practice my piano for about two hours, starting over and over again until the dissonant melody I play is fixed through my practice.
After practicing, I catch-up on my favorite show: The Legend of Korra; I watch about two episodes per day. The show is a fictional sequel to the series Avatar the Last Airbender, and it is utterly amazing! There are a lot of martial art moves you can learn from there!

Next is lunchtime! I eat rotini salad with cherry tomatoes, cheese, spinach, capsicum, and olives. (Trust me, it’s so good! Try to make one next time).

Finishing up my well-deserved break, I then start to complete any pending work I may have from the week. This part of my day usually lasts up to four hours, and it can be exhausting at times, so I take occasional mini-breaks and meditate on the word “peace.” But in the end, working for four hours straight brings a benefit: no more pressure from the work I dragged into the weekend. This means I get extra time to rest! :)

In the evening, I go outside to fill my lungs with fresh air after being cooped up at my home. I ride my mountain bike till I feel mentally balanced from the rough day. Once I return home, I work on my blog entry for about thirty minutes and try to take care of anything related to Mental Routeen’s social media.
By the time I finish everything, it’s dinner time. So that it just about concludes my day!
Raven:
I stand on red sand, clad in a gorgeous black and gold warrior suit, and my hands tremble with fear. Muttering some encouraging words to myself, I steady my hands and clear my mind. There he stands, my arch-nemesis, the only way out of this is facing him directly.
All of my people stand beside him because he has brainwashed them. My heart burns as I see their emotionless faces, ready to do whatever he asks of them. Zap! I hit him with lightning, raging anger in my eyes, but it bounces off of him. Next thing I know, he blasts fire from his tall, golden staff. It hurtles towards me like a bright meteor, and then-

Beep! Beep! My phone showed 9 am in bright red letters signaling that it is a brand new day. What a wild dream, I thought to myself. Shaking off my thoughts, I grab my phone and turn on my calm morning playlist. After dressing, I usually have a quick breakfast. My personal favorites include cold oranges, avocado toast, and garlic bread.
Even after breakfast, I feel tired and half-asleep, so I go out for a bit. The fresh air fills up my lungs, and the sounds of nature greet me. Then I stop by a house, a familiar, welcoming house. "Raven, you're here," yells a little girl. "Hi, Anna!" I respond. She looks into my eyes, smiling from ear to ear, knowing exactly what will happen next. She winks at me and runs away as I chase her up the stairs and through the rooms. Finally, I trap her in a corner and tickle her to hear the sweet sound of her giggles.

Hours and hours passed by, and before I knew it, it was time for lunch. I waved goodbye to Anna and her family, taking a shortcut back home. My stomach grumbled, hungry for food after hours of running. The smell of “tomatoey," savory pasta fills my nose, and I run excitedly to the kitchen.
There it is, the spiral pasta with tomato sauce and oregano. I gobbled it down in about ten minutes as I was starving. It felt good to be full, and warm with food. Then I wanted to do something relaxing, so I pulled up Netflix and watched some shows. I’m currently watching Nailed It, which is a competitive baking show.

Beep beep! (yes, I have an alarm for everything haha) Now I get to meet with Dash to work on Mental Routeen over Zoom. We greet each other with a “hello” and plan out the things we would like to work on. We are good friends outside of work, so we talk about our other interests such as K-pop, food, art, society, and so much more. We could start with chocolate and end up talking about maturity.
After a while, I get some dinner and start to get ready for bed. While getting ready, I plan out the next day on a Google Doc. First, I type up everything I accomplished today to motivate myself and then comes the unfinished things. Mini-tasks are set-up to complete my larger projects. For example, if I had to read ten pages of a book, I would have ten mini tasks/boxes to check off.

Finally, I brush my teeth and snuggle into my blankets. Good night everyone! Sweet dreams.
Overall, this is a general Day In Our Lives, but we make mistakes and go through challenges to make it to the end of the day. We want you to understand that there are little joys that you can include in your day. Even if the outside world is a chaotic mess, you can make your inside world feel calm, satisfied, happy, and more vivacious with these simple joys (random acts of kindness, biking, eating good food, watching Netflix, communicating with your friends and family, listening to music, and doing something you love!).
What is the Meaning of Messy Masterpiece of Life?
Life is one crazy rollercoaster ride; it is composed of messes and masterpieces. These are completely out of control, but we can always choose to stay positive and make our dreams come true. Take it one day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute at a time, and one second at a time. Each moment is precious because it makes up your past, present, and future self. There are lessons to learn, times of grief, and accomplishments from every action we take. In the end, even if you started at the deep, dark depths of the ocean, you can still persevere and reach the light. If you were to ever be knocked down on the ground, you would have the strength, courage, and experience to pull yourself back up again.
